Kindness Cab Gives Free Ride to Strangers

Leon Logothetis, television host, author and all-around good guy, wants to give you a free ride. Starting Oct. 24, Logothetis will drive his Kindness Cab from New York City to Los Angeles, offering free rides to strangers along the way.

When Logothetis traveled across the country on $5 a day for National Geographic’s 2006 series “Amazing Adventures of a Nobody,” he relied on the kindness of strangers for food, shelter and transportation. Now he is returning the favor, taking his vintage cab through 11 cities, including Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas. He’ll keep the meter running and donate the total amount from each city to a local school to help them buy books through the nonprofit ClassWish.

Follow the journey to Los Angeles:

New York – Oct. 24
Washington, D.C. – Oct. 26
Cincinnatti – Oct. 28
Indianapolis – Oct. 29
Chicago – Oct. 31
St. Louis – Nov. 3
Denver – Nov. 7
Santa Fe – Nov. 9
Phoenix – Nov. 11
Las Vegas – Nov. 12
Los Angeles – Nov. 14
